The business idea was born in 2015, inspired by car configurators — with the ambition of making true architect-led design available to every prospective home builder.
Because an architect's fee for a detached house with a build cost of €300,000 to €500,000 does not, as a rule, cover the work involved, only around 5% of all houses in Germany are actually designed by an architect. From this came the motivation to rethink the whole process of detached-house design and, for the first time, give the client real control over both their design and their budget.
Through the 'PURE Group', founders Mario Mirbach and Markus Semmelmann have run a 20-strong architectural practice for the past 17 years. Their housing expertise is backed by a track record of more than 1,000 successfully designed dwellings across detached and multi-storey residential construction. Daniel Dengler has been involved in the successful development of the cloud platform — and in the wider challenges of the industry — since 2019, and has been a co-shareholder via Number42 Holding GmbH since 2022.

Our company history

Founded
The original idea, taking its cue from car configurators, dates back to 2009 — PURE APPLIKATIONEN GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 2015.
- 2016
BayWa AG investment
BayWa AG comes on board as a seed investor.
- 2018
First prototype
The first prototype of today's configurator was unveiled at the BAU2018 trade fair in Munich.
- 2019
Roll-out
Since November 2019 the configurator has been live and fully operational.
- 2019
Neighbourhood partnership
Our first neighbourhood partner enables customers to plan more than 100 detached houses using the 3D configurator.

International award
1st prize at the Smart Building / Smart Construction Innovation World Cup® 2020.
- 2022
Strategic partnership
METAVISION GmbH and Number42 GmbH strengthen development, product, marketing and sales. Series A investment.
- 2023
New licensing model
The 3D configurator is now available to all clients as a white-label SaaS solution.

(Serial) residential construction
Tailored use in serial residential construction, plus 2D specification for client-led design.

Exclusive partnership
Exclusive partnership with Oikos Group GmbH to deploy the platform as a planning OS sitting between CRM and ERP. Brands: Bien Zenker, Hanse Haus, Living Haus. (BayWa AG and METAVISION GmbH exit as shareholders.)
